Ron Young Announces Candidacy for Ohio House

Former State Representative Aims to Bring Jobs & Fiscal Responsibility to Ohio

(PAINESVILLE) – Former State Representative and local business owner Ron Young announced his candidacy for the 63^rd District of the Ohio House of Representatives today.  Rep. Young will seek the seat he held from 1997 until he was term-limited in 2004.  The district encompasses the eastern half of Lake County.

“Employers and jobs are leaving our state in droves and House Democrats have done nothing to fix Ohio’s staggering unemployment situation,” Rep. Young said.  “For nearly thirty years, I have been in the business of helping people find work and I will continue fight to keep jobs in Ohio should I be given the opportunity to once again represent the people of Lake County in the Ohio House of Representatives.”

Rep. Young served in the 122^nd through 125^th General Assemblies.  Additionally, he is the founder and owner of Technical Employment Services (TES), Inc., a Mentor-based company that specializes in finding work for the unemployed.  Recently, TES, Inc. was awarded Case Western University’s Weatherhead School of Management award for “excellence in every facet of business.”

“At a time when Ohio is in need of real leadership to solve our economic problems, my opponent outrageously chose to retroactively increase Ohioans income taxes last month,” Young said.  “I intend to use my experiences as a small business owner and former legislator to restore integrity and leadership to the Ohio House.”

Rep. Young resides in Painesville with his wife Cathy.  They have five children and one grandchild.
